Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains how I collect, use, store and share your personal information when you register for a workshop, join my newsletter or get in touch with me. I'm bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988, and I take that seriously.
Who we are
"We", "us" and "I" mean Jigar Modi and Shreeji Company Pty Ltd (ABN 70 615 533 223). Jigar Modi is a credit representative of TruAdvise Financial Services Pty Ltd, Australian Credit Licence 494195.

What we collect
When you register for a workshop or join the newsletter, we collect your name, email address and mobile number, when you're hoping to buy, anything you tell us you'd like covered, and whether you'd like the newsletter.
If you later ask us to help with a home loan, we'll collect more, such as your income, expenses, employment, identity documents and credit information. That information is handled under the credit privacy policy of our licensee, which we'll give you at that point.
We don't ask for sensitive information (such as health, religion or ethnic origin) through our website. If you choose to tell us something like that, we'll only use it with your consent.
Why we collect it
- To confirm your spot and send your join link and reminders.
- To follow up with you after the session by email, phone or WhatsApp, to see if you have questions or would like help.
- To send the newsletter, if you've ticked the box.
- To tell you about future workshops and services that may help you buy your first home. You can opt out at any time.
- To run our business, keep records and meet our legal obligations.
You don't have to give us your details, and you can ask general questions without identifying yourself. But we can't register you for a session without a name and email address.
How we collect it
Mostly directly from you, through our sign-up forms, by email, by phone, or through social media such as LinkedIn. We'll only collect information about you from someone else when it's reasonable to do so, for example when a friend or partner refers you to us.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only when we need to, with:
- service providers who help us run our business, such as Google (email, calendar and the spreadsheet where sign-ups are stored), our website host and our email newsletter provider;
- our credit licensee, for compliance and record keeping;
- lenders, insurers and other parties involved in a home loan, but only if you become a client and ask us to help you with one;
- anyone you've asked us to share it with; and
- government bodies and regulators, when the law requires it.
Storing information overseas
Some of our service providers, including Google, may store information on servers outside Australia, for example in the United States, Europe or Asia. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
Marketing and opting out
We'll only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to them or would reasonably expect them. Every email has a way to unsubscribe. You can also reply "stop", call (03) 9014 1413 or email jigar@jigarmodi.com.au, and we'll stop as soon as we can, at no charge.
Keeping it safe
We store your information electronically with providers that use encryption and secure sign-in, and we limit access to people who need it. When we no longer need your information and the law doesn't require us to keep it, we delete it or de-identify it.
Cookies and website data
Our workshop page doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Like any website, our host and font provider (Google Fonts) receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type so the page can load. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we'll update this policy.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. Contact us using the details above. We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge to make a request. If we can't give you access or make a correction, we'll tell you why in writing.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first and we'll try to put it right. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If your complaint relates to credit, you can also contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority at afca.org.au or on 1800 931 678. Our AFCA member number is 72438.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. You can ask us for a copy in another format.
